Monroe Staffing, a division of Staffing 360 Solutions, is currently hiring a Packer/Receiver for a prominent communications company in Cromwell, CT Location: Cromwell, CTShift: 1st Shift 7:30 am-4 pmPayrate: $17.00-$19.00/hr. Responsibilities of a Packer/Receiver:
Prepare shipment documentation for outbound material and verify appropriate signatures from carrier agents.
Schedule the pickup of completed trailers with various carriers.
Coordinate with the shift supervisor the priority of orders to pick as they are released to the floor
Maintain files and records of shipments.
Communicate with Load planners, other departments, and carriers regarding shipments.
Investigate PPIs and report the findings to supervisors as well as maintain a database of results.
File and follow up on Freight Claims with carriers as necessary.
Various other assigned administrative duties
Requirements of a Packer/Receiver:
1+ years’ experience.
Ability to communicate; ability to work on a personal computer or other related equipment as required.
Ability to lift 35 pounds to the waist; ability to work in a hot or cold environment, on the DC docks and outside as required.
