Monroe Staffing, a division of Staffing 360 Solutions, is currently hiring a Packaging Associate for a prominent communications company in Knightdale, NC. This client Corporation is a leader in the offsite manufacturing of electrical and mechanical systems for Data Centers, Commercial Construction, and Industrial/Energy markets. This client was one of the early concept originators of offsite prefabricated electrical solutions. The company's primary strength has always been the ability to engineer, integrate, and fabricate complex electrical and mechanical systems into large custom enclosures or skid-based systems. The client Corporation is looking for a Packaging Associate to join our team! This position will be required to package the client products and prepare them for shipment. Candidates must have experience with the packing of large items. Location: Knightdale, NCShift: 12 hours M-F (6:00 am to 6:45 pm) and possible Saturdays (Usually 6-8) hours). Once production is caught up that will likely change back to 10-hour shifts. The "normal schedule for this position when OT is not in place is M-Th 6:00 am to 4:45 pm (4, 10-hour days)Payrate: $17.00/hr. Responsibilities of a Packaging Associate:
Install protective wrap and packaging materials on electrical equipment
Safe and competent Scissor-lift use (onsite licensure required)
Using fall protection appropriately per company policy (onsite licensure required) to tarp oversized loads
Loading units onto trucks using an overhead gantry crane and column lifts
Cleaning and preparation of units for shipment, attention to detail is paramount.
Operating basic tools-drill, impact, circular saw
Moving large skids (46x16) skids to assist with optimal operation efficiency
Clean up rubble, debris, and other waste materials to eliminate possible hazards
Assist other production teams as needed
Participate in 5S, Lean, and efficiency initiatives as appropriate
Following safety guidelines and operating in a safe manner
Qualifications of a Packaging Associate:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts, weekends as needed
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull equipment up to 50 lbs
Must be highly motivated
Familiar with using tools and general warehouse equipment preferred
Relevant work experience in warehouse and manufacturing preferred
