Position OverviewWe seek a results-driven and experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimize operations in our food manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the food manufacturing process, including compliance with food safety and quality standards. This role will ensure efficient production, maintain high-quality standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to support business growth.Key Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of production operations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective processes.
Develop and implement operational strategies to meet production goals, improve productivity, and maintain high quality and safety standards.
Monitor inventory levels, raw material usage, and production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to optimize material flow and reduce waste.
Lead, train, and mentor a team of supervisors, production staff, and support personnel to achieve operational excellence.
Foster a positive and collaborative workplace culture, emphasizing teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and create development plans for team members.
Ensure all operations comply with food safety regulations, such as HACCP, FSMA, FDA, and other industry standards.
Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to maintain and enhance product quality and implement corrective actions.
Conduct regular audits of processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and ensure regulatory compliance.
Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and innovations to incorporate best practices into operations.
Promote a workplace safety culture, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety standards.
Quickly address operational challenges, including equipment malfunctions, staffing shortages, or supply chain disruptions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in operations management, Food Science, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
3 years of experience in operations management within the food manufacturing industry.
Strong understanding of food safety regulations, production processes, and quality assurance systems.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in production planning, inventory management, and process optimization.
Familiarity with ERP systems and other operational software.
Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
