 Manufacturing Project Engineer – Mount Olive, NC Monroe Staffing is a division of Staffing 360 Solutions.   We are a leading staffing firm in the U.S. in the light industrial sector. We have an immediate direct hire, full-time opening for a Manufacturing Project Engineer for a well-known food processing plant in Mount Olive, NC.  Location:  Mount Olive, NCDays:Monday – Friday (Some weekends.  Eligible for weekend pay.)Hours:7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Flexible, could be longer shift depending on need.)Salary:  $73,000 – $85,000/yearly base salary (commensurate with experience)Plus, full benefits package.  Requirements for the Manufacturing Project Engineer:
  • 3+ years of food manufacturing experience required.
  • Bachelor's Degree – Engineering
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor
  • Ability to read drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products
  • Top-notch presentation skills are necessary in this position.
  • Written and verbal communication skills are critical in this role.
   Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Project Engineer:
The Manufacturing Project Engineer is responsible for the technical and engineering aspects of a project.   He/she will ensure that the project's engineering tasks meet the project's goals, standards, and requirements.   This involves planning, designing, coordinating, and executing the project.   The Manufacturing Project Engineer collaborates closely with stakeholders to ensure each project is completed efficiently, on time, and within budget. 
  • Project Planning: Develop a detailed plan that includes timelines, budgets, resources, and risk assessments.
  • Scheduling:  Determine project schedule by studying the project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements.
  • Quality control: Ensure that all engineering-related tasks align with project goals, standards, and requirements.
  • Compliance:  Research compliance regulations and uphold project standards.
  • Problem-solving:  Identify, prioritize, and decide on alternatives for a solution.
  • Cost control:  Approve expenditures, administer contractor contracts, and manage each project's budget.
  • Status reports:  Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Make effective use of physical assets and make required recommendations.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure cooperation and timely completion of projects.
  • Communicate regularly with other members of management to maintain productive and balanced working relationships.
  • Occasionally drives own or company vehicle in performance of certain job duties.
  • Participate in training, employee meetings, committees, and project teams as needed.

  • Personal computer and standard office equipment. 
  • Own or company vehicle.
  Physical Demands of the Manufacturing Project Engineer:
Walking:  Moving about on foot to complete job tasks, sometimes for long distances or moving from one work site to another. Light Work:  Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.     Work Environment of the Manufacturing Project Engineer:
  • Office, plant, and shop conditions. 
  • Exposure to outside conditions. 
  • Long workdays and workweeks may be required.
  • Access to certain confidential data.
