We seek a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Representative with a strong culinary background to join our team. This role combines culinary expertise, business development insight, and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes to drive sales growth and strengthen client relationships. The ideal candidate will leverage their culinary knowledge and sales experience to identify opportunities, provide tailored solutions, and enhance the overall customer experience.Key Responsibilities:
Identify and target potential clients within the culinary and food manufacturing industries.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure repeat business and loyalty.
Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms in alignment with company objectives.
Leverage culinary knowledge to understand client needs and recommend appropriate products or solutions.
Understand manufacturing processes and capabilities to communicate with clients effectively.
Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of client orders.
Address and resolve technical inquiries or challenges related to product use.
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging market opportunities.
Provide insights to the marketing and product development teams based on customer feedback.
Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management.
Utilize CRM tools to manage customer data, track leads, and monitor sales pipelines.
Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies and regulations.
Maintain a high level of professionalism and adhere to sales best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts, Business, or a related field.
Proven experience in sales, preferably within the food, culinary, or manufacturing industries.
Culinary background with hands-on experience in a kitchen, food production, or R&D setting.
Strong understanding of sales techniques, terminology, and methodologies.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and the ability to discuss technical aspects of production.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
Experience working with food distributors, wholesalers, or direct-to-consumer sales.
Bilingual capabilities are a plus.
